Artificial Grass Fit For Royalty

We were honoured to work with Casa Loma in Toronto to complete a full grass replacement of a very high traffic area in the lower courtyard. This area sees weddings, The Toronto Orchestra and many other events throughout the summer. There was such high traffic in this area that the grass was getting very torn and muddy at certain times, especially after Toronto’s heavy rainfall. 

Synthetic turf was the perfect application for this area to keep it dry, clean, mud-free, maintenance-free and beautiful all year round!

Artificial Turf Installation Process

We started the Casa Loma artificial grass installation by removing and excavating the existing 4-5 inches of grass and soil. We replaced that space with a well compacted and graded limestone screening space. The turf gets laid down over that limestone screening space, then gets trimmed out very tightly against any of the bordering.materials (fence, garden, interlock).

We anchored the turf down to the base with 6-inch long galvanized spikes. A light top dressing of sand, brushed in against the fibers was the finishing touch to keep the turf fiber standing up, as well as making them look nice, lush and green.
